India continues to revise the anti-dumping duty on steel products, which will expire in this financial year. India's General Administration for industry, commerce and foreign trade (dgtr) began a sunset review of the anti-dumping duties on wire rods originating in China and galvanized color steel coils originating in China and the European Union.
At the request of the representative of the Indian Steel Association, Rashtriya lspat Nigam (JSW steel), the State Administration for industry, commerce and foreign trade of India has launched a sunset review investigation on the alloy or non alloy steel wires exported from China. These applicants requested an extension of import duties on goods with customs codes 7213 (excluding 72131090) and 7227 (excluding 72271000).
The initial anti-dumping duty investigation on wire rod imported from the country began in June 2016, and in November 2016, the State Administration for industry, commerce and foreign trade of India proposed to set the final amount of the damage margin at US $535-546 / ton. The proposed tariff is the difference between the final value of the goods and the extent of damage. The anti-dumping duty was originally scheduled to expire in November 2021.
In addition, the State Administration for industry, commerce and foreign trade of India has launched a sunset review investigation on alloy and non alloy imported galvanized color steel plates originating in China and the European Union. The tariff was imposed in January 2017 for a period of five years, equivalent to the difference between us $822 / ton and the final value of the goods. The customs codes of relevant products are 72107000, 72124000, 72259900 and 72269990
